With the end of summer just around the corner, nothing sounds more refreshing than a glass of fresh-squeezed lemonade. For those of you reminiscing about the good ol’ days of lemonade stands and luring customers to pay for a cup of overpriced relief from the summer heat, Pinnacle® Vodka has just the thing for you.
Inspired by National Lemonade Day (August 20th), Pinnacle® has released two new cocktail recipes to help us celebrate. While I won’t encourage you to start selling this stuff on your local street corner, I will suggest whipping up a few pitchers for you and your buddies to enjoy poolside this Thirsty Thursday. Pinnacle® Pool Party Punch and Pinnacle® Raspberry Lemonade are ideal for serving up bulk quantities of boozy summer fun. These recipes are easy to double, triple, quadruple or even quintuple, so you’ll be good to go all day long. And because neither of them contain carbonated components, you won’t have to worry about anything falling flat — except maybe your pool floats.
Pinnacle® Pool Party Punch
1 part Pinnacle® Original Vodka
2 parts Lemonade
Splash of DeKuyper® Blue Curacao
Mix ingredients and serve over ice.
Pinnacle® Raspberry Lemonade
1 part Pinnacle® Raspberry Vodka
2 parts Lemonade
Mix ingredients and serve over ice. Garnish with a lemon wheel or raspberries.
There are two main things that make these recipes successful. The first is, of course, the vodka. The second is their simplicity. Please keep them simple and don’t attempt to make your own lemonade. No one wants to fuss around with a million ingredients when you could be making use of valuable pool or beach time; you can find perfectly fine and affordable lemonade at your local supermarket.*
*If you happen to find yourself near a Stew Leonard’s, however, make sure to use their lemonade. It’s legit the best.
